About

The more fully I can become aware of who I am and what I am doing at this moment, the more freedom I can experience to change and the more I am able to choose my responses

Counselling and Therapy
Life can feel painful and difficult at times. Navigating relationships, making life decisions, dealing with the unexpected, managing life events and encountering loss can leave us feeling unhappy, anxious and alone. By deciding to start counselling you are taking the first step towards exploring what may be preventing you from living a more fulfilling life.
I know that starting counselling can feel daunting, I offer a safe, private and non-judgemental space to hear your experience. I am warm and approachable and exploring your story from a place of emotional safety will be the main focus of our sessions.

I am an integrative counsellor, meaning I work with a range of therapeutic techniques depending on your needs. I work in a relational way, which means I believe that counselling is a collaborative process and that the relationship between me and you is important. It also means, where appropriate, we may talk about how we work together and how that might reflect other relationships in your life to try and make connections about how you relate to others. I will work at the pace that suits you and with the goals that you bring. Working with you I can help you give voice to the thoughts and feelings you have and together we can look at what is troubling you. We can also look into the past to understand how it's affecting you now and look at how life events have impacted you. I work to support you in building your awareness and deepen your understanding of yourself, to help you work through what is troubling you and enable you to see new perspectives. We can also look at how you may be able to build your resilience to change and tolerate uncertainty and what is unknowable, as so much of life is out of our control and uncertain.
About Me
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a Diploma in Counselling from the Mary Ward Centre and I have worked with Refugees and Asylum Seekers, for a low cost counselling charity and with NHS Talking Therapies clients.

I offer sessions of 50 mins at the same time every week, either in central Wimbledon or online, either short term for specific issues or longer term. You may not know if you want counselling to be open ended, we will work together to set goals and regularly check in to see if counselling is helping you move towards those goals.
My practice is non-discriminatory and LGBTQ+ affirming. I welcome neurodivergent clients, and I have experience working with clients with autism.
