Becoming a Mum comes with joy and excitement but can also leave you feeling lonely, sad and anxious. You may feel like you're not 'doing it right', or judged by others, you may feel like you should feel differently about your baby or feel preoccupied trying to fit an ideal of motherhood. You may miss the 'old you' and your old life, and uncertain how to navigate the new one you've found yourself in. You may be pregnant and worried about how you will feel once you've had your baby. Most of all you may feel it impossible to say these things out loud as society expects you to love every minute.

I offer a space for you to navigate these feelings, explore how you may really be feeling, and a space completely without judgement to find a way through your matrescence (the physical, psychological, emotional, and social transformation of a woman as she becomes a mother). We will go at your own pace and I will listen to your experience of how things actually are rather than how they ought to be. Together we can then navigate through this transformative time to help you discover why you may be feeling the way you do to bring you more balance to move forward with clarity and understanding.

Perinatal Therapy Sessions
I offer therapy in a space in Wimbledon or walk and talk therapy in Morden for perinatal Mums. This means instead of sitting in the therapy room for 50 minutes we will walk and talk in the local park. This could be a good option if you need to bring your baby. Not all sessions need be outdoors, I'll suggest that our first session will be online in order to talk about and agree how we'll meet outside. At online sessions you can have your baby in the room as we talk if you need to. ​​
